Scotts Bluff is a unique rock formation found in the midwest in Nebraska.  The feature was a prominent landmark for those traveling the Oregon Trail and the Mormon Trail headed out west.  Many of these outcrops and unique geologic formations were the landmarks adventurers, pioneers, and fur trappers used for navigating to and through the western territories during the 19th Century.
